Meet with Chief Minister Sindh
Surveyor General of Pakistan called on Honorable Chief Minister of Sindh to brief him on the role, capabilities and future initiatives of Survey of Pakistan (SoP) with special emphasis on three proposed cadastral mapping projects for Sindh. These projects have the potential to improve land administration, enhance transparency, support dispute resolution and facilitate sustainable development planning for the province. During the meeting, Surveyor General apprised about the modern equipment and technologies being utilized by SoP, including GNSS systems, UAVs, LiDAR and high-resolution imaging. He also briefed the Chief Minister on Pakistan’s National Spatial Data Infrastructure (Pak-NSDI) initiative which seeks to develop an integrated platform for geospatial data across government institutions. This initiative is expected to reduce duplication of efforts, lower project costs, improve monitoring of development projects, and support the achievement of SDGs.
