Surveyor General’s Darbar
11 Feb 2026 - Surveyor General of Pakistan held a Darbar with the employees of Headquarters Survey of Pakistan (SoP) and Survey Training Institute (STI). During the interaction, Surveyor General appreciated the overall performance and dedication of the officers and staff of SoP, acknowledging their contributions to national mapping, geospatial services and institutional development. He encouraged employees to adopt a forward-looking mindset and play an active role in transforming SoP into a world-class mapping organization. Surveyor General emphasized that higher management is fully committed to equipping the organization and its workforce with the latest technologies including advanced computing infrastructure and long-endurance UAV platforms to meet modern geospatial and mapping challenges. He highlighted that SoP possesses immense professional and technical potential which can be fully realized through timely induction of modern technology, capacity building and collective effort. The Darbar concluded with an open exchange of views, reinforcing Management’s resolve to strengthen the organization and empower its HR for future national requirements
