Visit by Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Team
A team from SIFC, Prime Minister Office (PMO) visited SoP on 15 January 2026. The visit/ meeting was held in connection with an ongoing initiative under the PMO aimed at identification, consolidation and documentation of land assets belonging to Ministries, Divisions, attached departments and State-Owned Enterprises for the development of a National Land Bank. The team was briefed about State Land Record previously developed by SoP for Government of Pakistan under Cadastral Mapping Project. This land data was developed on the basis of record provided by respective BoRs till 2021 and was delivered to them being the primary custodian of land data in provinces. Team SoP also highlighted the organization’s technical capacity in geospatial data management for development of Land Information Management System, NSDI and Digital Twin models. Later, the SIFC team visited the Geospatial Lab where certain land data sets were displayed by SoP. The visiting team expressed willingness to engage SoP for certain projects of land verification of various government departments
